My main complaint is that the rectangular blocks of ice sitting on flat floors have a tendency to sometimes tilt when jumped on, and that's led to a few deaths. On level 15, the block sometimes breaks he upper ice platform, making it much harder to complete. Overall, good game, fairly challenging but not too long.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback, the box tilt should be fixed now :D
Due to a bug with the statistics I had to change the save method, this possibly erased your progress and I'm sorry about that ;(
I like the general bullet hell gameplay, but there are problems with the health balance. Having only two health means it's more about hoping you don't get screwed by having another bullet be at the other end of your dash than it is about dodging skill. Bosses have so much health, and dashing does so much extra damage, shooting normally feels pretty much useless. It becomes a question of "Do I want to play carefully and conserve my dash so I don't get hit when the line attacks spawn with almost no warning, or do I want to spam my dash so that I can do this phase in less than ten minutes?" And if the game has awards for time and no deaths, it desperately needs a reset key and level select.
This game is much better at being a puzzle game than an action game. Sections of the game which require long sequences of proper timing with no time to spin around calmly and think ahead, like the end of level 17 and the entirety of level 18, are just the worst with how fast the ball moves. Other than that, the level design is remarkably good.
You can beat the boss as early as level 27 (maybe even earlier). Max out the beer guys and fill your party with them, and use their ability as soon as it becomes available. Artillery support helps too.
You can find the secret room to the right of the altar in the real world, one of the sections of wall is an illusion, you can get onto the ledge with a precise jump form the stairs, and then jump against the wall. Doesn't matter if at the beginning or end of the game, but if it's the beginning, you'll have to carefully jump over the mirror.
The game progresses at a snail's pace. Considering you can't shoot behind yourself, it's odd how many enemies spawn behind you. Especially the final boss. It spawns the chasing enemies at the very left side of the screen. Even with max upgrades and a party optimized for speed, it is impossible to avoid taking damage from it. On the final boss. I would like my time spent playing this game refunded.
Early on, focus on headshots, both for the badge and bonus time. Buy the upgrades and search. Survivors are be your top priority, followed by weapons. Accurate weapons like the magnum and rifles are best because headshots. Due to how broken the entire morale system is, you'll probably do fine searching places until you get bad luck and someone dies, at which point your morale will begin on an irreversible downwards spiral. To avoid this, just stop sending people out. After day 22, I used the Remington and M4 for the rest of the game. I had 6 survivors on shooting, 4 on melee, and a personal assistant. With upgrades and more time than I needed to make mines, my house didn't even go below 98%.
Wow, this might honestly be the worst Badge of the Day I've ever had to get. The gameplay is uninteresting and repetitive, the upgrade system is unbalanced, the loadouts system makes absolutely no sense, there's nothing that can rightly be called "music".
I liked the twist ending, but... I'll be honest, most of those questions were just bad. There's a difference between "difficult logical thinking" and "terrible complete ambiguity."
Could you require a specific key to be pressed or area of the screen be clicked to close the instruction boxes? I sometimesaccidentally closed the instructions before I got the chance to read them.
