Reset really needs fixing, considering it usually takes more than one go. This is one of the more interesting game series I've played. I'm glad it finally found its way to Kong. :)
One thing, the screen blacking out briefly every time a purple bomb goes off gets irritating. I'm not sure if it's crucial, but I, for one, could live without it.
Nice idea. The puzzles get interesting. The controls feel a bit awkward. The ship trails behind the mouse quite a bit, making it a little tough to judge speed and such. Needs some way to select levels so when I navigate away from the page, I can still pick up where I left off.
It's not a functioning game right now. You should hold off on releases like this. Start a blog with screenshots and testing if you want feedback. I thought I'd add that whenever you have voiceover, you should include subtitles for those who cannot have the sound on.
Why, oh why, would you have the option to use the command key for firing when you have to press other keys as well in a browser game? Utter mess. The options menu hierarchy needs to be fixed so the important things, like how to leave the options menu, are easy to find. Also, I didn't bother with half of the instructions because the font was so hard to read. -.-
Is there not a save for when you don't have the time to finish it all in one go? Beautiful vision executed rather well. The story maintains interest well.
Needs quality settings for those getting lag. The physics doesn't feel very real to me either. It would take more force to stop a deep plunge than it seems to take.
Good first game indeed! Loved the look. My main gripe has been said: the bullets resetting position after firing. I wanted to know what level I had reached before I died on the game over screen. I also had an instance in which a grabbed a shield when a sphere hit me and the sphere stuck to me until the shield disappeared.
Cool idea. A few wishes: when you pressed menu it automatically paused, you could reorder your pods in the upgrade store, you could see the level and type of your current pods when you clicked on them, and a little section that briefly told about pod levels, powerups, etc. just for reference.
The hit delay after each click makes the later levels impossible to keep up with. Lack of a music makes it seem more monotonous. Pause button is essential as the waves never stop coming.
Fun puzzles with varying achievements. I'm getting a little urked by the controls. There seems to be too big of a delay between mouse movement and piece following.
I absolutely love this series! I have played this before, but it's fun to play again after awhile. Stunning.
For those in doubt of ownership, the same game is on Newgrounds posted by the creator with the nickname "struma".
Nice simple game for the competitive spirit. I kind of wish there was an accuracy account in case of mishits. Yeah it's hard to get low speed without accuracy, but I've received the same time completely accurate and rather sloppily.
It seems I can only record a high score once per game. Despite the fact that I may beat my record the next trial, it doesn't register in the system. I have to reload the browser page then beat my old time in order for it to register in the high scores.
