you shouldn't have to hold the mouse button down the whole time you play, it should just follow the mouse.
also the level always says level 0

Also this may be petty but the font of the options on the main menu is
somewhat difficult to read.

After the level ends the buttons appear directly in the center of the screen and are clicked by the already held down mouse button.
