This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Nova Centaurus is a tactical mission-based top-down shooter. Select your gear and launch the mission! The fate of the universe is in your hands. Master different weapons and upgrades. Compete against a variety of fearsome enemy ships. Two campaigns and the Infinite Mode await. Though your reflexes will be tested, it is your wits that will ultimately decide whether you achieve victory or nothing at all!

Use the mouse in the menus and the keyboard during the game. Arrow keys control movement and the Spacebar fires your weapon. Use the number keys to select a weapon. You can press Up a second time to activate the turbo jets. Finally, you can press Tab, Ctrl, or Shift to perform a 180-degree flip.

This game is very good but there are lots of games like this.
Your other game "Machiavellian Suns" is far more interesting because its unique mechanics.

All around a solid fun game. My biggest concern is how long it takes to load (both the whole game and the individual levels). Maneuvering is unexpectedly hard for this kind of game but i believe you did fine. Is interesting you decided to try and expand into the Machiavellian Suns lore. I hope we get more games like this. And as a side note i would really love to personalize more my character... A name? a color/icon? palette color for the ship?. Anyway thanks for the game and if possible think about changing the loading screen into something more fluid (maybe a ship shooting or flying?) cheers~

Terrific! Few small observations. I'd love it if the physics were refined so that there was a better sense of drift... the ability to strafe would change the entire balance, however. Also, the obstacle hit boxes seem a bit difficult. I'd prefer it probably if those structures were represented by large cargo boxes rather than organic "squares." (It would also help accurately define the edge of the shape.)
