this is a template of for a platform game that I made about three years ago. it helped me (and hopefully will help others) to remember that getting a game to work is just as important as having it look good.
to all the programmers out there: keep at it and good luck.

left = walk left
right = walk right
up = jump
down = duck
etc.

That and you don't need a tutorial, the controls are pretty dam simple.
