don't put the 'ring cleared' and other status texts right in front of where the player is looking. looks like a good concept. I also had trouble with the landings - right on and slow and gave me a fail.

Could you add a sandbox mode? Some sort of accelerate button would work for that. If you improved on the graphics and added a sandbox mode, it could be like pilotwings for the n64. It would be far more entertaining. Maybe a mode where you can take pictures? Hope this helps!
