if controls were a bit more intuitive it could be playable. as it is there's no real game-inspired motivation to take the time to figure it out. it could be fun if it kinda did the standard thing with having different levels of increasing difficulty, where the first several basically tell you what to do to get certain effects from your backhoe

Pretty cool game! I wish the arm moved faster and there was more than 1 level, but this game is alot of fun and it's very creative. I'm now #1 on all-time on this and Backhoe trial 2. They're the first 2 games I ever got first in on kongregate. Hope you make another one. For those saying this and the 2nd one suck try playing for longer than 5 minutes before you say the controls suck. They're great once you learn them.
