Beginner 65 has no mate in two. 1.Ra2+ Ba4 2.Rxa4 Kb8 3.Qxb8 mate is the fastest. If 1.Qd4 then not 1... Ka6 2.Qb6 mate but 1... Kb8 and white takes another four moves to mate.

Beginner 34 is the wrong way round. Black has mate in two; white has nothing.

^ - -^ Re: Beginner #41, if I have allready captured my opponent's king, then how can he not be mated, as mate is the condition where an opponent cannot avoid being captured.
