How long can you avoid a single dot? Welcome to Avoid This Dot, a game where you avoid a dot. This is a Kongregate experiment, I want to see how long people will try to avoid a dot.

Use the WASD keys to control the red dot (the player) and use those keys to avoid the bad black dot (enemy). The longer you survive from the black dot enemy, the faster the dot becomes. The timer resets when you touch the black dot, as with the enemy’s position and your position.
Try to get the world record!

World Record doesnt work, even if i get on the given link, or maybe im the only one, that had played this game.
Yeah, apparently Scratch's cloud variables don't work on Kongregate, sorry for that! Edit: It also doesn't work- OHH, that's because you need an account for Scratch to save variables, I should've clarified that. Oops!

I wanted to note that pressing two button, for example w and a, makes you move faster. I don't know if this is intentional. So the trick is to run in zig-zag and being careful around the corners. I think the cap is around 70-80 secs, I could be wrong. Also for some reason the controls didn't work the first time, had to reload.
Yeah, when I was making this game I noticed that happening too. Also, with the controls not working, that's pretty strange. For the WASD controls, I made the player repeat moving 2 steps, so I think pressing multiple buttons at once increases the amount of steps, and I'm probably never gonna be able to fix that, heh. Thanks for the comment!
