Hey Kitty fans! We’ve got the first of a bunch of big updates we’ll be rolling out over the next month or two, which we hope will make the game more enjoyable to play. Here’s what’s new:
-Tasks on top! You can now see what Catsanova Tasks you’re working on on the main Kitty screen. Helpful!
-YOUR kitty (“Marshmallow”) now appears during dates, for extra snuggles.
-Big change! We’re trying out the game without dialogue, but with emotes instead. We think this is a cuter approach that will require much less reading, but we’d love to hear what you think. Yay!? Nay?!
-Lots of bug fixes! Programmer Panda has swatted some bugs that were slowing or hanging the game.
Let us know what you think! And you can expect some big changes in the soonish future, this is just step one. Thanks!

Not sure how much this new update helped at first glance. Things seem to have gotten ridiculously expensive, both in cost and what is needed to progress. E.g., I'm currently level 20 and one of my requirements to level up is to get...I think that's nearly 10 quadrillion cash (that's over 9x more than I've made in the entirety of my time playing if achievement progress doesn't reset when you nap); I'm trying to level up My Krooba to level 11 and I now need to take him on 1000 outer-space dates which now costs 1 trillion each and need 42,000 cat trees. I'm glad I had his item bought before this update, otherwise that would have cost me an additional 33.6 quadrillion if i'm reading it correctly. Time for jobs also seems to have gone up too (E.g. 24 hours to do something that took 2 before). By the sound of things, the earlier stages got easier, but it seems like this update might have severely hurt people who have been playing for a while. I hope this can get fixed and soon.

I seriously don't like the change to "one single emoji" ... The text based rewards and feedback actually had 100% of the PERSONALITY of each of the kitties, and now there's absolutely none. At all. Please ditch the emoji and return to text, I want to know the fun little quirks of each of the kitties. Otherwise they're literally exactly the same creature with no variation. Highly disappointed in this update today.

Looks like the changes have taken all incentives from long-time players to keep going? So close to the 4k taiyaki basket! Plus dito on the insane cost now to level up kitties.

why did you remove the ability to buy baskets for taiyaki? i have to buy cat bells to get legendaries now?! thats unfair.unless u can get legendaries from leveling up

The game is WAY too unbalanced now; you can't get legendary kittens anymore without spending money, which is really bad. Maybe if you did like before where you can buy all baskets for Taiyaki but need Cat Bells to buy more at the time, or if you did it so that you can use Taiyaki to buy Cat Bells. I trust that the inclusion of Cativities will rebalance the game, but until you add that, you need to do a quick rebalance now, because this is really bad, and I can see I'm not the only one feeling this way
