Good effort so far, but it is worlds away from other games justl ike it. There is a reason why this is on page 9 of action games and it's because there is no motivation to keep playing. Within 10 seconds your players will realize "Hey! I could be playing another game exactly like this, but better!"

Get rid of the background litter, and add autofire and it might be a decent game. As is, it's pretty poor.
