Terrific and lots of ways that this could expand, if the developer is interested in that. Once I was comfortable confronting the skeletons and effectively blocking, the map was super fun to explore.
I'd love to see more areas to explore.

Ugh! All the way from the very beginning. Forget it. I did think that it was a little interesting in the variety of monster, such that I had to pay a little attention, and I think it was the final boss that I was on, which was about right. I wasn't that interested to play a long time more, without some more interesting puzzles or something more than hack and slash. Still the engine was pretty good, and you could have a great game with save points, more power ups, some puzzles, and a little more variety.

It would be nice to be able to bank HP potions for later. You could either have a key to quaff them, or just have that happen automatically when you go below a set HP threshold.
