Dice Dynasty

the 1-2 seconds between "take action" and the time my dice can be clicked again (aka "LAG") may be the worst enemy of games. add up this lag over hundreds of turns and you get minutes of just waiting... it's not the biggest problem in this game, but one i see again and again in most games. content is what makes games good or bad, not how much tinsel they have.

I was doing some calculations and it turns out that it's theoretically possible to beat the "secret" level on 5000 HP.
The minimum number of roll needed to complete it is 32 as the maximum amout of damage that can be dealt is 160 with 4 glass cannons landing on attack and 4 go big or go home landing on 20. As 32 is the minimum number of roll it is necessary that the boss doesn't roll more than 31 on average. Now the chance of former happening is about 0.4% and the latter 6.25%. The combined chance is therefore 2.5%. Since it has to occur 32 times the chance of beating the boss is 5.4e-50% or to be clear 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000054%
Yeah good luck with that.

This could actually work pretty well for an MMO

I'd like some quality-of-life improvements: 1) Option to skip the rolling animation and give me the dice results instantly. 2) Option to sort dice by actions and numbers (ascending). 3) After doing one action, the remaining dice should stay in their place on the screen, to make it easier to think about the keyboard shortcuts. (i.e. "4" will always activate the die on the fourth spot, even if the previous spots are empty.) 4) If there are only two dice remaining (action+number), take the action immediately, the game doesn't need my input.

I accidentally chose 4 number dice plus 2 action dice for a 6-dice battle. It turned out pretty good, because that gave good odds of having a high value that I could use on attack, even though I essentially lost one action per round.
