Navigation is poorly done. Not enough indication of what turns out to be another area to go to. I made it past the locked gate and had no idea what the game was telling me. Put more words in the game. Descriptions of items and places and dialogue from your character telling you that something doesn't work or needs something really helps to make your game more sensible and allows people to more easily figure things out.
