You are on to something here, also change the metal slug background. :)

Flying girl shooting some insects on an endless metal slug background. Foreground and background artistic style obviously don't match. Can't say I like it in it's current form. But with some more work making game play faster and background graphics / upgrades and stuff it could be a good game
