Can't help but feel the deck is stacked against me here. You start out with a food deficit, and scavenging quickly depletes. It takes 2 days and 2 men to kill 1 zombie, and then another 4 days for 2 men to reclaim a farm. My people are starving to death after 1 day at zero food on "harder" difficulty.

In freeplay mode, I got up to about 25k feet, got myself going sideways on a good flat trajectory and walked away from the computer. Went to the bathroom, had a smoke, fixed myself a drink... Came back 8 minutes later and he was still going. In fact he had gained about 2000 feet.
