Em Hydranought, a continuação de Ultranought, você controla uma poderosa base de guerra. Enfrente as raças de Xyth para obter acesso à tecnologia delas e use-a para conquistar a galáxia. Hydranought apresenta um sistema detalhado de habilidades que permite aprimorar vários aspectos da tecnologia disponível. Isso inclui uma habilidade passiva e duas ativas, além de 4 naves com habilidades diferentes por raça (são 8 raças). Enfrente oponentes de diferentes dificuldades em 17 áreas.
Como jogar
Um tutorial no jogo vai te ensinar o básico. Durante o combate, clique nos botões de energia para ver as habilidades e naves de cada raça. É melhor começar construindo as naves de energia para acumular energia para naves maiores. Cada nave derrotada concede experiência, que pode ser investida na tela de habilidades. Desbloqueie conquistas para ganhar bônus permanentes.

Very quickly gets repetitive. This game needs some kind of default settings so that you can set what you want turned on automatically at the beginning of each match (like energy generation and energy generating ships) because you just end up spending the first 30 seconds each and every match turning these all on and then just sitting back until the match ends.

So you get more XP for bad performance and less xp for good performance... makes sense. There really needs to be some large XP bonus for defeating enemy base or even time bonus. This way you are forced to not kill enemy and just kill enemy ships forever to get xp
