Opis

This is a simulator to show how different behaviours can influence the spread of a virus. If you enjoy it please share!

It will run slowly if you turn the population size and map settings up. Try it on lower settings first and watch how small and large changes in behaviour can make a big difference in the spread of the virus.

It is not a substitute for official advice and not to be taken as accurate. If you are unsure how to best keep safe you can consult the World Health Organization.

Jak grać

This simulation shows how different behaviours can influence the spread of a virus. In the settings on the right you can change different parameters for how the virus behaves, how people behave and the map settings.

In the simulation, you can pause and rewind. See how things pan-out.

People showing no symptoms are blue, whilst people showing symptoms are red.

Though people in blue are not showing symptoms, that doesn't mean they are not infected!

Stay Safe - this is not scientically accurate so don't mistake it for professional advice!!

This is a sim written by a sole-developer for education purposes.

Feedback is greatly appreciated!

If you like it, please share!

(to add onto marxist's comment below, death should more likely be death rate or lethality)

Nice concept 3/5 for that! You should make a few more variables to make it more realistic, for example:

death: how severe is the virus, how many infected die and when?
immunity: do people get immune when they survive the virus, and when?
quarantene/hospitalisazion: people with real severe syndroms getting really isolated and don´t infect others (maybe an off chance to infect nurses etc.)
state of healthcare system: how many infected with syndroms can get treated maximally at once (incentive to flatten the curve) and how well are hospitals stocked with ppe (how likely is it that even hospitalised persons infect others like nurses, doctors)?
testing: how many people can get tested and know they have the virus and thereby get isolated early on?
sick leave: do people get sick leave and can afford to voluntarily self-isolate if they get sympthoms?
universal healthcare: do people have universal healthcare and get tested/treated unconditionally or not?

Thanks for the really useful feedback with loads of really interesting variables that could be added!
