It would be nice if achievements could give you skulls as well, this way you could get all the upgrades.

needs an auto cast for the frost bolt. at least as an upgrade perhaps?

Its a good game, well put together. My only issues with it is that there is a cap on the skulls keeping you from achieving all upgrades, which forces you to reset in order to get all the achievements, instead of having enough skulls for all the upgrades (well, maybe minus 3 for the trip to the main game site). My other issue is how fast the mana returns. When I had the Stone Giant and Frost Mastery I was running out mana pretty quick when I tried to combine the fear spell, the Stone Giant and my regular frost spells. Didn't dare the cavalry, because they had little effect after the first level was breached with a fairly large mana consumption. The 50% was helpful... but imo, I would have appreciated more... especially for the last levels.

Short strategy guide for getting the skulls: 1.Don´t invest in the mercenary skill tree at all. Since keeping the enemy on ground floor is the name of the game here, it won´t do you any good! 2. Try to upgrade until getting the following skills: "Paling", "Burning fire", "Frost mastery". 3. Put following skulls further into the castle tree. 4. As soon as you have enough points to afford "Accurate Archers" and "Frost mastery" reset the tree and buy it. The archers are actually pretty awesome. + if this helped you

huuum... good game but the click spam is really annoying, with an auto shoot option it would be way better 4/5
