Add a different background and make more animations. Also you should get your health replenished after you fall down. For a proper test we need a bigger level. Including: different enemies/ traps, music + mute button, perhaps moving platforms etc. etc.
For a simple platformer it has potential.

So far the graphics are decent. Here are some some things I would do if I was working on the game. The main character should, at the very least, flip when the left arrow key is pressed. Some small animation in the character would be a plus (ex. eye movement, blobby bounce)
I like the background, but it would be cool if it moved slightly with the camera to imply that its part of the same scene.
I can't wait to see the real game.

finished game will be excellent. a few little tweeks with the main character would be nice. maybe if he blinked or squirmed or bounced or something. good game 4/5

change the background. also make the animation so if u can face the other direction as well. Publish a complete game as well please.
