I was enjoying it up until the 'don't eat the cake' mechanic started making level 7 frustrating. The idea of the added challenge is good but the mechanic needs to be better applied. Perhaps he will only eat the cake if you're pulling it towards you deliberately, instead of just touching it? That way it won't make manoeuvring the cake around the place so frustrating.

The grab and release don't work. If worked fine in version 2. If this was supposed to be an improvement, it's a big fail in my opinion.
