Tip: Go all out on research at the beginning. Research will benefit you throughout the whole championship. So getting the upgrades early, means you win more races, which equals more money. And you get a HUGE amount of money for winning the championship. For the first few races on my 2nd round i was dropping 100k a race on research (100 researchers). Losing 50k a race even when winning them all. After that it was a breeze though, didn't even need to research because i was so far ahead.
How to win a race: if your first go all out on nitro and you will have a huge lead you'll never lead. When other drivers are infront of you the nitro will be wasted. So it's important to use it when ahead.

while i did like the game, it could have been much better. being able to have more control on the upgrades would have been awesome, training driver, earning more money etc.
