Why doesn't anybody trap people in a room and leave the batteries IN the remote, camera, flashlight, etc.???

Well its not very relaxing if your stuck in the room now is it. Music is a pile of crap and i'm thinking, why is there a channel that shows a clock for 24 hours straight?
