Platoon Wars

Protip: don't forget to regroup/divide/combine your platoons. Experiment around with the interface - just because you're not allowed putting a unit somewhere doesn't mean you can't drag the empty group over it to switch. Just because you can't take a submarine off a transport plane in the middle of the road doesn't mean you can't sell the transport, leaving the submarines behind. Submarines on land really freak the AI out - it perpetually stages for an attack against them which it never actually launches, driving all it's tanks in circles around my sub-terrains so my infantry can take over all his stuff in peace.

i dont remember this game being so bad. got more heath than the computer yet everything else about both formations is the same yet all my side is destroyed and the computer only loses half health. i beat this game before now cant even do the simple levels

Almost a good game, but it JUST misses.

Just a few tips for anyone starting the game out: 1) Use the terrain. Things like forests and mountains can have a significant impact if you are using things like artillery. 2) Don't underestimate infantry. Having a squad of infantry leading the charge can give arty and tanks behind them the upper hand in most battles. 3) Pay attention to the order of your units, the last thing you want is your infantry in the back line. 4) Don't give up when you have tanks/arty vs. bombers. You can usually micromanage your units so that half or more survive the bombing until the timer runs out. 5) Fight the enemy on your terms. If you can't quite reach an enemy unit, don't try and get closer. Wait a turn so you can decide which of your units you want to engage the enemy's. Lastly don't forget to go after enemy facilities. Very underrated game. Definitely takes a bit of time to figure out tactics but once you do the later levels become very dynamic and interesting.
