The "on level up" skills should be changed to a straight multiplier, because from what I've seen the upgrades don't account for levels gained prior to putting points into those skills. Therefore, the best method is to leave all guys at level 1 until you max all "on level up" skills.

Yeah, we argued about these two skills and decided to leave it as is. Some players may be frustrated by the fact that level ups that happened before buying this upgrade were not boosted, but on the other hand, this feature adds some extra strategy. We wanted to let the player choose and get extra bonus for right decisions instead of "buy whatever you can". Though the latter will also work :)

upgrades not enhancing retroactively is stupid. I leveled up my guys without knowing other skills would buff if i waited. It has nothing to do with strategy when you actively hide upgrades. leaving everyone at level 1 until i unlock every single ability so that i can read if/what it does is stupid, not strategic.
It's fixed in the latest version.

If you're going to make upgrades not effect previous levels, make them ALL visible, including for characters we don't have.
