Branch adalah versi kasual dari genre strategi waktu nyata yang biasanya hardcore. Kamu berperan sebagai penjaga pohon kosmik agung, pencipta bintang-bintang di seluruh alam semesta. Pohon ini sedang diserang oleh ras robot tanpa pikiran, yang ingin memanfaatkan energi pohon dengan merebut setiap cabang penghasil serbuk sari. Kamu harus menggunakan kekuatan serbuk sari untuk menghidupkan kembali setiap cabang yang diserang, atau para robot akan menghabisi segalanya dan tidak ada lagi bintang yang akan lahir. Tanpa pohon itu, alam semesta akan menjadi kehampaan tandus – keseimbangan eksistensi ada di tanganmu. Branch memperkenalkan sistem interaksi sederhana dengan konsekuensi yang kompleks. Pemain mengendalikan ketinggian wilayah yang dikuasai untuk membangun dan mengontrol garis depan. Kamu harus terus menyesuaikan aliran serbuk sarimu, untuk menyerang, bertahan, dan mengumpulkan sumber daya dalam pertarungan epik demi menyelamatkan alam semesta!
Cara Bermain
Kontrol kamera dengan WASD dan klik kanan sambil menyeret mouse. Tarik kolommu dengan klik dan seret. Aliranmu akan bergerak ke bawah. Atur kolommu untuk mengontrol aliran. Klik mesin untuk menyerangnya dengan tornado - gunakan serbuk sarimu untuk memperkuat tornado.

Branch was developed by a group of danish students, in just one month. We are planning to develop the game further, aiming for a release on iPad / iPhone later this year.

The control of the levels of your territory is frustratingly overcomplicated. It'd be better to have more of a snap-to-levels arrangement, with something like 10 different levels. As it is it's just frustrating to try and tailor the height of terrain.

Don't get it... The tutorial skipped step 10 really quickly, and the back buttons only go back in odd numbers... from 11 to 9 to 7. So I don't know what I'm meant to do to progress.

good, but still i dont get how i cant use all my power on one tornado on lvl1, which i'm stuck on

Now I've had a play with it, I think it's an interesting game (despite the tutorial being reaaaally sketchy). My cursor disappeared half way through level 3 though, and I can't get it back at all. I still managed to beat the game with incredible ease. The problem I can see is, to make the game harder, the only thing you can really do is speed up the AI's actions. Which will only make it more difficult for a human user because of their inability to use the controls as well... This doesn't make for a better end user experience, as there isn't anymore or any less strategy involved, it would be merely frustrating. To really make this game shine would require something more to the strategy than staggering stairs to create a good flow. Something like special hexagons/resources/bases/exploitable bonus'... All of those would increase the level of STRATEGY, and therefore the end user enjoyment of the game. Hope you read this, and take some of it onboard mate. Nice job otherwise. 3/5 atm.
