Dalam Spectrum Wings, kamu berperan sebagai pilot terbaik galaksimu yang bertugas menghancurkan senjata pamungkas dari kekaisaran Xenuvian yang jahat sebelum mereka menggunakannya. Fitur menarik dari senjata ini adalah selama fase pengisian, yang untungnya cukup lama untuk kamu capai sebelum terlambat, semua cahaya yang dipantulkan pada permukaan padat di galaksi tampak benar-benar kehilangan warna di mata telanjang. Kamu bisa mengendalikan kapal dengan mouse (sangat direkomendasikan) atau keyboard. Skor bisa disimpan online dan progresmu otomatis tersimpan di akhir setiap level. Overall, not too bad. However, the whole 'money based on accuracy' thing takes a lot of the fun out of this sort of game. Seems you get paid to NOT shoot the enemy. Bad call there.

More problems. If you purchase the wrong upgrades midway through the game you are totally screwed, need to be able to change upgrades around or replay earlier levels so you don't have to start from scratch. Also, the upgrade from the midboss is hard to use: it can drift off the screen, and changes the type quickly enough that you sometimes get the wrong one because your ship doesn't move very quickly. A window that pops open and asks you what to upgrade would work better. I really like the look of the game, wanted to like playing it, but I just can't.

What i noticed is, when you complete a level without shooting and only use the capsule to attack, you will get NaN amount of credits and you can buy anything. Also if you don't shoot, your capsule is one hit kill even to the boss.
