Description

Glooble is unlike any game you've ever played. In fact, it doesn't even feel a game - more like an alternate reality experience. Mysterious emails. Cryptic codes. Devious puzzles. Encrypted passwords. Confounding machines. Glooble is stylistically simple - but intellectually, it is very, very hard. It all starts with 'Chapter 1: Contact', the first in a series of short games (one or more hours of gameplay, depending on your puzzle-solving skills and your willingness to avoid the included hint system.) NOTE: in keeping with its minimalist approach, this game has no sound effects or music. Also, I have updated the game to include an option to skip a puzzle if you just can't find the solution. It's Glooble - the Kinder, Gentler Version.

How to Play

Mouse and keyboard (escape key to access the menu for hints, current score and code entry; up and down arrow keys for scrolling; and letter keys / backspace / enter / tab for entering text.) [IMPORTANT NOTES: there's no way to save your game, so before you exit, write down your progress code! You'll need it again the next time you play. Also, the game will not work on a Mac if the user zooms in or out with a Magic Mouse or a Trackpad.

i have no idea how stats can help my decrypt an email! give me a key! it's challange 1 dammit

the stats not only apply to the English language, they apply to the message itself, so the most common letter in the message is E, the most common 3-letter word is THE, the most common 2-letter words are TO and OF, etc. use the process of elimination and, if necessary, trial-and-error to decode the rest of the message. if you need more help, try the HINT menu (press ESC to access the menus.) [providing a key would definitely make the puzzle easier but, in my opinion, less satisfying in the long run. good luck!]

It has come to my attention that there's a potential bug in the game if you use a progress code and then attempt to solve the 'Temp Employee' puzzle. If this happens to anyone else, please let me know, and I'll send you code that will take you to the next level with the maximum score. Thanks to the Good Samaritan who noticed the bug and told me about it!
