Description
*WARNING: This game contains flashing lights, and may potentially trigger seizures in people with Photosensitive Epilepsy (PSE). Please do not play this game if you are prone to these.*
*The Plot:* You assume the role of Linda, an average girl who heard rumors about an old abandoned funeral home being haunted. No one knows what happened to many of the people who used to work there, but legend says they were murdered. By who? Linda wants to find this out for herself, so she goes to the secluded funeral home. But not long after entering, things go horribly wrong.
*Score:* Your score will be based on how quickly you finish the game, and how many close calls you had. Close calls are calculated based on how long you were close to the enemy. If you see your score increasing, then the enemy is dangerously close. Try to get as many close calls as possible without making them last for too long, as this will result in a Game Over.
*PLEASE BE AWARE:* This game is very short, and thus does not feature a save or checkpoint system. If you die, you'll have to start over.
How to Play
Use the arrow keys or W, A, S, D to move, hold SHIFT to run, and move the mouse to look around. Left-click to interact/open doors, and press TAB to pause. Press and hold the space bar to ram doors that are jammed.
Developer Updates
Fairly Small Update:
Changed the windows to make them look more soiled, and they now reflect light.
Added âHow To Playâ in-game.
Added Fullscreen Mode. :D
(IMPORTANT: Due to the Escape key being reserved for exiting fullscreen, the pause menu is now accessed by pressing TAB. For those of you who were already used to pressing Escape, I apologize. There was no other way to get around this.)

Are they going to release Black Rose 2 ? They should make a continue to this game because it's very cool

I'm working on an expansion to this one, which will extend the game with a "Story Mode". This will hopefully be done soon. And thank you!

I will take inspiration from this game...
I like the women, she is well scary. i want more items in the house as it is after all, a house.... seems to pause at times. usually when loading sound files and upon reading of papers. Other than that, i liked it :)

Yes, I'm not the best when it comes to optimizing games, so there's always the possibility that there might be some performance issues. Yes, I do agree with you on the idea of putting more items in the game. I will definitely head in that direction with my development. Yes, she likes to kill people, she's mean. But it is possible to knock her back into her place. With the...should I say it...alternate ending? ;) Anyway, thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing! :D

I don't know if it's a bug or you changed the way to finish the game, but when I try to escape through the front door, the door doesn't open, and Myrtle ends catching me. The update is nice, but I prefer the old version. I'm a classic guy! Good job!
Oh, dear... Thank you for pointing this out. I've been so scatter-brained lately trying to troubleshoot the problems I was having with uploading the game and it not loading, I forgot to re-activate the exit. D: Not to mention I've always been a rather forgetful person. I've fixed this, and I'm about to upload it. Again, thanks for pointing that out, I can't believe I forgot. Please forgive me for this, I know how frustrating it is when you aren't able to win a game simply because there was a bug. :S
