I played both this and the first game. The first game is what I'd consider peak design for a hard but fair platformer, almost good enough to stand next to other giants like Super Meat Boy. The cycles being the same for every attempt, the room only starting when you make your first input, the options you have for moving through a room, and the high mobility you have make for a great and solid game. That describes Give Up.
Give Up 2 throws away almost all of that. Your jump is lower and not at viable for big movements, the level design forces you down one route, the levels don't stay paused anymore when you haven't made an input yet, new hazards require a lot of waiting and slow down gameplay, and the fact that sawblades/axeblades don't reset their cycles each death make this a frustrating, luck-based, and disrespectful sequel. The last level is a culmination of all of these issues combined.
Terrible, I'd rather play the first game five times over than ever touch this one again.

my only problem with this one is the fact it says "you gave up last time" not like trying to make me but like i did even though i didnt give up at all in the first game lol

The game freezes after completing level 10. Exiting to menu does not validate it, section A remains incomplete. I tried with Firefox and Chrome, same result.
