Description
A Potato-Hungry Ogre has invaded your farm!
Feed him potatoes and keep him calm while you build your strategy and find a way to get rid of him.
The strategy quality of this game is stronger than it seems at first, but you have to build one or you're going to die a lot!
How to Play
Buy Legacy Upgrades as soon as you can, so that you start the next round with them.
It will get easier and easier the more Legacy Upgrades you have.
It's common to die a couple times before you manage to defeat the Ogre.
It is possible, however, to finish the game without dying, if you're up to the challenge!
Clicking *NEW GAME* deletes current save.
*WASD* - Move farmer.
*ENTER* - Skip Tutorial. I recommend you not to skip it, though.
*P* - Pause Game.
Added *RIGHT CLICK* as an interaction input along with *E*, to increase playability for left handed people.
*More detailed instructions can be found on the Pause Screen.*
Good Luck!

First off, love the game. A lot of tough things, but most all of them add to the strategy... the only two things I really don't like is clicking a potato at 99% hacks it away and there isn't time to react before it's gone. The other thing is, the ogre ground pounding when im standing next to him trying to give him and g.d. potato. Bro, stop smashing and take the thing. Wts?
Still 5/5
I'm really glad you liked it. Thank you so much for 5 starts! I should've made it clear somewhere: the ogre stomping is meant to be a penalty for letting him get too hungry. He stomps more frequently the hungrier he gets. I'd remove it, since it seems to just annoy players, but I think it would be unfair to the people already leading the high scores. As for the potato, clicking it at 99% makes the farmer raise the hoe, but if the potato reaches 100% by the time he hits the ground he will harvest it. At least it happens like this for me at the Unity Editor and in my browser. It is possible that it is different for you because WebGL -the browser engine the game runs on- is still undergoing improvements. That's why games made with Unity many times don't even load on some computers, and there is very little we developers can do about it.

I hope this helps: 1) Plant all 10 starting seeds ASAP. 2) Harvest/sell 6 of these, buy Premium Seeds. Clear space and prepare ground while you wait. 3) Plant 1 premium seed asap, harvest the remaining 4 normal potatoes, then plant the remaining 9 premium seeds. Youโll have 20 gold. 4) Buy 2 Seeds Packages, then plant/harvest/sell as many regular potatoes as possible while the premiums are growing. Replant the potatoes you harvest! Once you have 60 gold (12 potatoes) buy the โOrganic Potatoesโ upgrade - NEVER buy legacy. With practice you can do this just as the first premium potato sprouts. 5) Harvest 1 premium potato and buy the โFibrous Potatoesโ upgrade. 6) Harvest the remaining 9 premium potatoes; at this point youโll have 365 gold. Use this to buy 1 regular seeds, 1 premium, Cup of Coffee, New Tool Handles, Tastier Potatoes, Earthworms, Fertilizer, and Invade Neighbours Property. 7) Plant all 10 premium seeds, then feed the Ogre. 8) Next priority is Marketing Campaign. Good luck!
That is a really nice and detailed approach to beating the game with zero deaths. I shall point people towards your comment from now on if they need help. ;) Anyone reading this, please upvote. This is a very good comment to stay at the top!

Not an idle game, and actually fun. easy 5/5. Being left handed, i found it awkward having to use the 'E' key. Maybe make selling when next to the bin automatic, like it is when you're next to the ogre? And make entering the shop automatic when running into the door? Anyhow, good to see that there are still a few devs left on Kong that care more about making a quality game than just throwing up rushed crap with a kreds shop. 5/5
Oh man, playability for left handed people didn't even cross my mind... I'm so sorry about that! Maybe making it possible to interact by right clicking? How does that sound to you? Anyway, I'm flattered by your compliment. Really! EDIT: Just added option of interaction by right clicking.

Took a number of deaths for me to figure out what to do (somebody tell this ogre my head is NOT a potato!!), but overall it was a fun game. Amusing ending. Thanks for a fun hour and a half!
It feels amazing to read this! The ending is the best part for me, and it was kinda hard not to spoil what the Ogre Slayer really was... xD Thank you very much for your comment, it helps me going forward as developer!
