If I remember flatland correctly (I had to read it for highschool), triangles were always women...
Actually, the lines were women (the book is a little bit sexist). We decided to leave this aspect of the book out completely, but were looking at a few ways of updating that to reflect current gender issues a bit better.

I think the main problem with women in this game would be how obnoxious the peace cries would be, which would be necessary since they are invisible in a top-down view.
