Description
A very early version of the now famous mars based resource simulator Mission to Mars.
In this early example of the game many sounds and textures are missing as are many models.
The goal of the game is to survive until the atmosphere counter has reached 1000 at which point the planet is considered terraformed.
In order to achieve this goal the player must build buildings to help their production of various resources so that they can survive any disasters that may come their way (they occur randomly ever few minutes).
Mines can only be placed on ore deposits and increase your production of ore.
Ice Mines can only be placed on ice deposits and increase your production of water.
Farms can be placed on any open ground and increase your production of food.
Green Houses can be placed on any open ground and increase the production of food at the cost of water. Additionally for every two green houses that exist the atmosphere level will increase faster.
Barracks exist to prevent overcrowding (occurs when the population level gets over the maximum population and causes severe setbacks to resource production).
Explore Bases allow the player to launch expeditions that reveal additional deposits of both Ice and Ore in addition to an upfront supply of ore. These expeditions can be hazardous and often come at the cost of population.

I see that the description is much better now. I don't know how I missed that!

Poor description - what is this game about? What are my goals? Instructions are terrible - you give no idea of how to do anything except scroll the camera, which is the least important aspect of the game, (and the easiest thing to discover through trial and error.)
This is an alpha that we created for the purposes of a class (your class). I included a fairly sizable explanation alongside the submission. I'll update the description, but it seems a little pointless since we don't intend to leave it on Kongregate past the end of next week.
