Certainly seen worse in the whack-a-mole genre. Maybe think about adding different backgrounds, levels, types of zombies to keep it interesting. Possibly even (and I know everyone says this but still) some sort of upgrade system running on points from bonked zombies. New weapons, etc, etc. Sort of a Mushroom Madness kinda thing - and that is a crazy popular line of games :)
