This was exactly what i like in a shooter. Could be a bit more of it here and there (such as more upgrades as others have said, and also mouse control) but its still 5 stars from me.

Someone tell me why this game have rating 2.2 ???
It's DEV's first game, even though it has nice game mechanics (just missing movement speed upgrade), everything works well, game difficuly require to avoid some enemies or repeat levels to upgrade some more. It's bit easy, It's not as good as Boss splayer or Bug slayer or Boss fighter or complex like Boss fighter 2 but it's the first game at it sure deserves 3/5 for being average in every way, but still enjoyable. So I'm voting 5/5 to atleast somewhat fix the rating.

Thanks zabijaq. I appreciate the feedback. Would you have found it more enjoyable if it was more difficult? Any feedback is appreciated.

As a bullet hell player I can say there are many things that need to be fixed/improved to make the gameplay more enjoyable. For example, some patterns and/or enemy groups are almost unavoidable; middle stages forces you to buy fire power and last stages are nearly impossible without health upgrades (I don't buy health in these games), so you have to rely more on upgrades rather than your abilities. It needs to be polished, but it's a good start, so keep it simple and give it your own style c:

Thanks Saran, I'll keep that in mind when I get around to tweaking it.

Dreadbolt: if you want to make it better, just learn from best. You obviously don't have someone to make complex graphics, ... so just keep it simple. Take the boss splayer as example. Just give bosses and foes some uniqueness, give atleast few speed upgrades (you don't need much but +30-50% at max upgrade level would make it more enjoyable). Hitbox of ship is quite huge, I would give few ships with different parameters (for example highesr speed, lower hitbox, more gadgets ....) and You might also change the mouse movement not to need the mouse1 to be pressed.
I think you're on the right path, just tweak it, and come up with something new, few more interesting foes, levels ...
My first computer was Commodore 64 so what I enjoy most is gameplay.
