Description
A remake of the first real bullet-hell game on the Commodore 64. The original version was written in 1988 by Steve Harter.
This was my favourite game growing up, and I hope you enjoy my remake of it!
How to Play
You are the hero who starts in the bottom-left of each level. You must collect the required number of spars on each level to move to the next. Note, the monsters can pick up the spars as well, so you will have to fight for them!
You get a free life every 20,000 points, and believe me, you will need them.
Arrow keys to move, CTRL to shoot.
P to pause.
M to mute - this game is quite an assault on the ears (I've ported over the sounds from the original game - so don't blame me for the noise)!
S and L represent your spars (shields) and lives respectively.
Scores are automatically submitted to Kongregate's high score boards., but you can play the game on www.darnkitty.com if you want your score to appear within the game.
Developer Updates
I started writing this game in 2009, and finally today Iโve uploaded it, five years later! Wow, I wish I had more time to write games. I hope you like it.
