Description

Blast away loads of enemies, evade tons of bullets, level up your ship, and defeat 16 bosses in this space shooter!

How to Play

This is my first crack at game developing. A few things to note: I strongly suggest at least skimming over the instructions, especially if you're going for a high score.

Gemeplay overview:
* Kill enemies to gain XP in order to level up your stats.
* You fire automatically
* Only your hitbox (white dot) is vulnerable.
* Only bullets will kill you; enemies and bosses can't hurt you
* Move with mouse (change to keyboard in options) slow down keyboard movement with SHIFT
* Click to fire a vector blast (SPACE bar if using keyboard) to vaporize bullets around you.
* ENTER key to bank your multiplier.
* A to toggle autofire.
* Z to fire while not in autofire mode
* M key to mute
* P key to pause game
* Q key to quit game
* if you lose all your lives, your score will be cut in half.
* Your score will be posted when you return to the main menu, either by losing all your lives or by quitting after passing a checkpoint.

ALL OF THESE CONTROLS CAN BE CHANGED IN THE OPTIONS MENU!

There's an option to turn on story and character dialogue in the options, but he went through so much trouble to say "don't do it! it's too freaking bad! DX" that even I gave up.

Pretty cool although hard-I died on the square boss! Some things I'd suggest would be to introduce the playing information in a different way (maybe on the game screen as it becomes necessary, like they do in many platform games). Almost nobody's going to read a load of text for a space-shooter. Also, the sound could do with some work. I want something more satisfying than a dull click noise when I blast something into oblivion! Plus the music is maybe more appropriate for a calm puzzle game than a frantic shooter.

Yea, heh, you're not the first one who said that first boss was a bit of a pain. Also, multiple people have suggested about a tutorial vs. that encyclopedia of instructions I've currently got. Unfortunately, my code for this game is complete spaghetti code, so I figured I'd just rectify that with the sequel. And now I know where to find more fitting sfx too XD

After clicking a safe slot it should either confirm, or there should be another button to confirm. Bit confusing when all I see is a back button even though it's the first screen that appeared.

Yeah, you're right. Fixed it so that the button on the load screen says "OK" once a file has been selected.
