Description
Helixteus is a unique strategy/idle space game with a lot of content.
Manage your home planet, build buildings and send spaceships to other planets to fight the enemies in order to conquer the planet in this infinite universe.
Research 36 types of sciences, collect 215 achievements, fight 7 tiers of enemies, discover 11 different classes of stars, own 7 different types of planets, accumulate 4 completely different but essential types of resources and build 5 different tiers of ships to raze the enemies with _your_ strategy whether it be a pure attack power or above-average defense.
A very in-depth game with tons of content for you to enjoy for weeks on end if you are the addicted type! To fuel your motivation, compete for highscores in 16 different statistics in the game.
==============
This game is developed by a lone high-schooler aged 16, so the quality of art and sound is really bad. But the game being in development for over 4 months and having a fair amount of content I've worked hard on it. Please show your appreciation by posting positive comments/constructive criticisms so I can improve the game for the better!
How to Play
Main control: Mouse (+ left click)
*Zooming*:
Ctrl + slide cursor up to zoom in, or down to zoom out (scrolling with the mousewheel would scroll the site itself which is irritating)
List of hotkeys can be found in-game.
Developer Updates
Itโs time, and itโs here! The ultimate sequel to Helixteus is now live on Kongregate.
Iโm sorry for procrastinating too much, the game could have been released months earlier but I simply didnโt have the motivationโฆ until a few weeks ago.
You can play the sequel here: http://www.kongregate.com/games/Apple0726/helixteus-ii
Have fun, and happy idling & building!

All I can say is... Congratulations. You are one of the *few* (And I use this term strictly) devs that gets 40,000 views in less than 1 month. Wait, wait, I'm forgetting something. Oh, yeah! You are one of the TWO devs I know that frequently responds to almost EVERY comment no matter if it is a bug/glitch/balancing issue. Now the only thing I ask of you is to add some Kong IP, so I can give you some of your well deserved Kreds.
Kong IP? What's that? I'm not good at payment-related stuff, but if I was, I would add a nice little "donate" section somewhere in the game that players who like my game or want to support me (or both) can donate a specific amount of kreds (for a little in-game reward)

First of all, congratulations on making this game. It is amazing, despite some bugs and imbalances, I feel like this could become one of the best idles available in kongregate.
Bug report (Bug?) You only get gems/energy balls in your current active planet. Not on all of them.
Biggest complaint: There are no actual percentages in the science menu. 'Increases the production of minerals'. By how much? Is it percentual? Fixed? Could you please add the precise advantage of each tech?
Second: It would be good if you buffed the "Institute" upgrade benefit. I can use the upgrade to increase science from 0.017 to 0.018 for $36k and 2k energy OR buy another institute and get twice the production for $52. It seems pointless to use the upgrade right now.
Third: Isn't the "Collect all' button supposed to collect all gems and energy balls as well?
Bug report: that is intended to prevent massive rare item farming. The biggest complaint: Yeah I'll definitely have to put that. Thanks for letting me know! Second: Already buffed institute a bit ago, maybe this time I could reduce the costs of upgrading. Third: nope, again, to prevent rare item farming. Glad you like the game! :D

This would be a great game coming from anyone. The fact that you are making it at 16 is just fantastic. Well done.
I just didn't have anything better to do during free time, so I browsed my computer randomly when I encountered Flash Professional, and looked interesting (this is when I was 13). Started to play with it for a bit and once I realized the program was for making games I was surprised and looked up random Internet tutorials to make some of my own! You can find the list of my games in the Zetaboards forums.

Once I realized there was a way to zoom this game got much better. This game right now is a little too "unfinished " for me but I see it having a ton of potential and expect great updates in the future!
