Description
Hello! I am 13 and this is my first venture into Ludum Dare. I went through a bunch of ideas and made like 2 half-finished games out of them before I finally focused in on one idea, giving me about a day and a half to work on it. I love the graphics but the rest of it isn't that great and I would like to some time to develop these ideas in the future. Anyways, to make the game I used Stencylworks for the programming, CFXR for the SFX and GIMP for the graphics.
So, enjoy the game!
Made for Ludum dare 22 in around 36 hours.

After I picked up the strange head, I went to the right and disappeared...never to be seen again. :( Anyway, it's a good effort. It is far more sophisticated than the games I was producing at 13. Then again, I had pixelated characters cos it was 1983 LOL. I like this - I find it strangely nostalgic. Keep up the good work.

It IS cute in a minimalist way, but you need some sort of background elements with higher resolution so they won't look quite so pixelated. As far as the gameplay, yeah not too much here, you may want to study some of the platformers here on Kong a bit and get some ideas. Still, the quirky little monk graphic made this stand out for me - so you've got something there. Keep at it and see where ya get to :)

Right on young person! This is an adorable little game and I really hope to see some more efforts from you. The monk guy graphic is cute and I liked the "make a friend" goal. Truly worthy. High five dude, and keep it up!
