Description
This is not a game. It is an experiment in genetic algorithms. I have been unable to get the critter populations stable, so am shelving it for now to try a new angle.
How to Play
Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Right click and drag to move the camera.
Left click to use the "Mouse Action"

One other thing Kohlenstoff, if you pause you can hover over a creature and get more insight into them. Including seeing the current priorities for the brain on what the critter should be doing now.

Day 16k is pretty good! The living cycle is something I've played with quite a bit, I'll see about increasing it as you suggested. On the "problem is solved" angle, they are actually quite a bit smarter than that. They have a genetic "sensory range", and all creatures also have a "stealth rating". So when they are hungry they don't just wonder, they actively search. Failing to find anything they enter a "meander" state, which is where your %s probably start to make more sense. Good ideas.

I guess the major issue is the short living cycle in combination with limited space and action radius. Increase time until hunger and until death (and any other action) by factor 3 so that they got more time to search and eat and increase planet size by factor 2. When they are hungry, add a 25 % chance per 20 % time until death to go with a 80 % chance straight forward in one direction until their problem is solved.
