Description
Ever since he was young, Bertie has always wanted to be a serial killer. He's just earned his diploma in Murderology AND Murderonomy, and he's ready to paint the town red.
Guide Bertie through twenty levels, taking out the civilian targets, cleaning up your mess, and avoiding or getting rid of the cops. Earn bonuses for stealthily completing a level to spend on upgrades, like the quick and clean piano wire, or some stylish new sneakers.
Originally developed in 48 hours for Ludum Dare #25 (Theme: You are the Villain). I recently fixed up the bugs and added more levels, upgrades and blood.
How to Play
WASD or cursor keys to move
Press SPACE to attack
Hold C to clean blood
Kill all the civilians in a level to clear it
Watch out for cops!

I also don't think the cops should shoot you for approaching up front until there is a sufficiently high panic level, if a normal civilian (which to their eyes the butcher should be or they'd be going properly after him) comes up to a police officer they wouldn't shoot them, now, would they? Good game though, fun.

I did wrangle with this for a while and tried many different things. It did *feel* a little better with the cops not spotting you unless the panic was high enough, but unfortunately it also made the game ridiculously easy. I'll have another look at it, though.

Why do you wait till I've been picking the cops off for ages before you tell me I don't have to?
A fair comment. I'll try and shift around the instruction screens to make that clearer earlier on. It's definitely worth killing the cops though, since you get a bit of extra cash for upgrades.

Did you rip the music from infectionator?
No I paid to license the music for this, since I'm pretty much tone deaf. It's entirely possible that Infectionator uses the same music if they licensed the same track.
