Hint: approach the chests SLOWLY to avoid contact with ghosts. Or shoot them ;)
Your suggestions are right and many other details could be criticized. Please keep in mind that this is an old prototype for platformers. You won't find these issues in newer games of mine.

I'm sorry, but shift to jump? I suppose you didn't factor in anything like, say, THE STICKY KEYS FUNCTION?! God, this game is SO not being played by me.

the treasure chest kills me no matter what, make the up jump, space/mouse shoot, and use shift/ctrl/(q/e) to switch weapons, major issues, I am not going to go out to another page to play the other games with the issues in this one.
