Description
This is a small project I have been working on over Christmas.
Inspired by the hugely popular Unity game "Slender", you navigate your way through the level in order to solve the mystery.
Any comments, criticisms, bugs and suggestions are hugely appreciated.
How to Play
The objective is to navigate through the dessert to find the 4 notes that contain 4 digits to unlock the padlock. Inside, you can find the items required to progress to solve the mystery.
Controls:
WASD / arrow keys for movement
F / click to interact
In order to type in the combination either use tab, or use the ESC key and use the mouse.
Developer Updates
Unfortunately, due to other priorities, the game has a rather abrupt end. I did want to add something a bit more original, but perhaps in the future I can add a whole new element to it if I continue with development.

Incredible. However the beginning speech is much too long, it could have text showing for non-native speakers.
The game lags for me, that's because there is too much dirt particles everywhere. You should make the dirt a child of character and animate it globally. The mouse moves too fast I think.
Nevertheless, 5/5 for you.
Yeah, you are definitely right about the intro being too long. I was going to cut it down, but wasn't quite sure on which parts to keep in and what to cut. I will play around with it and try to make it shorter. I also am aware of the lag issues. The particles are currently a child of the player, but it has to have a high energy and emission due to the character movement, and if these are too low then it doesn't appear quick enough unless the player stands still for the particles to re emit at the current location. Thanks a lot for the comments and suggestions, much appreciated!

I had no idea what to do in the beginning. graphics a good are you a new game maker?
The game instructions are posted in the Instructions section, but basically, you have to find the notes that hold the combination for the padlock, then collect the contents of the box to progress further. I'm a student studying Games Development and this is just a little game I knocked out over Christmas. I've been working on something else too which I will post soon, and also other bits to do with my Uni course.

whats supposed to happen when you unlock the box?
You take the compass and note which then allows you to progress further. The instructions do tell you that the F key is interact. Use that to open it.

So I take it the weird chair room counts as losing?
No, that's actually the abrupt ending I was referring too. It may seem as a bit of an anti-climax but I am working on a few other things at the moment. I did want to add a proper ending, which I may still do in the future, but as for now that's it I'm afraid. Thanks for trying it out.
