Well I was intrigued enough to play through it :D
I actually liked the different way that double jumping was handled, was actually a fun little mechanic
Thanks for the comment!

the death sound is a bit obnoxious, but I love the jumping!

Good start. Looking forward to more. I disagree with commenters complaining about double jump. I like it, it's different. Obviously, it means one can't do some things we are used to (like extend jump length/height by jumping at peak), but perhaps you can do something new and unique with this double jump mechanic.
Thanks for the comment! Check out the new "CHALLENGE MODE" for now while we get started on new chapter content.

it would be nice if the text was skippable, and the double jump seems like it just increases the upwards momentum by a set amount, which means that you can go incredibly high by double-tapping, but if you are going down when double jumping, it just stops you midair and then you continue falling. Instead, you should just set the upwards momentum to a certain amount when the spacebar is pressed again instead of increasing by a set amount.
Thanks for your feedback. I'll definitely implement a way to skip text next iteration, and I understand what you mean about the jumping. We appreciate your input.

It feels like a fairy tale being told to me by my mother! You have a good feel set out here, and I hope you continue to finish this so that it can become really good!
Thank you so much! That is one of the kindest compliments we've received!
