Very, very easy. I mean, what is this, Charge of the Light Brigade in space? The enemies need guns with bullets that extend out more than an inch. And bullets that lock in on the player and try to nail him.
And the game could do with a hell of a lot more plot development than "evil aliens". I mean, c'mon dude. I know you've got more creativity in you than that. What evil aliens? Why are they invading? Why is there a big biological monstrosity at the end when most of their forces are mechanical? Perhaps you could separate each "area" after a boss with a short "mission" text, allowing you to make me actually care about this random war I'm fighting.
And the "now the game really begins" infinite loop? That's horrible. HORRIBLE.
I love your LRU games dude...but you're slipping. This game was like the first level of a good shooter...except incredibly long. 3/5

not bad for a start but if this is not your first game you should really be able to improve it:
- add mouse control, the ship moves fast, scrolling is relatively fast, and diagonal pathways are pretty hard to navigate by keyboard this way
- make big asteroids either harmless or indestructable without bullets passing through them, i ran into them because i figured they were part of the background
- the red orbs for opening doors look way too much like upgrades (which is why i dove right into them = boom)
- can't see any real benefits from laser upgrades. Do they stack? Do you lose them all when you die? I felt that even small enemies take about the same time to kill even with upgrades.
- people love upgrades, add missiles, spread fire, deadly rotten-egg-bombs, anything
- increasing the size of the playing field would make this game feel more mature
3/5 for now
