This game was made for Kongregate Game Jam in *under a week*, and as such there is barely any content. Please consider that in your ratings.
How to Play
Controls: Mouse only.
1) Select a kingdom to start the game. They're all identical apart from the random colours.
2) Click on buffs/traps to purchase them, then click anywhere on the roads to place them.
3) Hire an army to send them to -their doom- glorious battle!
4) Repeat steps 2-3 until enemy kingdoms run out of money. There are various tactics to achieve this, experiment and don't be afraid to restart, the games aren't that long!
----
Tips & info:
A single soldier can only wield armour OR weapon, but both of them work with the health flask.
Armour reduces incoming damage.
Weapon increases incoming damage.
Flask increases health and gives soldiers bulging muscles.
Walls can be used to delay enemies or your own army.
Spikes kill anyone who walks over them.

Can you explain how the gold system works? As in, how does the game decide how much gold you receive each round?

This game needs, like, a Level creator or something to mess around in. You could set up your own arena or something, give it walls and place the start points, or a sandbox to just plop soldiers and other stuff and let them fight. Would seriously increase the longevity of the game.

It took a moment to realize I needed to place the equipment on the field for my soldiers to pick up, and that they didn't just all get swords. My strategy was to place walls that funnel them all towards the swords and health potions, and I crushed my enemies before me! Nice work, 0rava. :)
Thanks! I've clarified the game instructions so you have to indeed place the equipment.

Needs clearer instructions about the walls, didn't realize walls have to be drawn until I read one of the comments.

Forgot to add to my previous comment, I need to ask some questions. 1- When exactly does one win? I see at times that the hill is "Conquered' in ten turns, and other times from the first turn. 2- Since the people could use either weapon or armor, is the elixer also added up to whichever? 3- There is no number three, but I can't number without at least 3 reasons so... PANCAKES! Well, good luck again, and totally needs multiplayer!
1) The win condition is to run the other empires out of money -- They start with, and spend money identically to the player using a basic AI. Once a kingdom stops spawning armies, they're out of money and you're golden, then just focus on the remaining one(s). And lose condition is of course yourself running out of money. 2) Flask works with both, yes. I'll add it to the description.
