Oh, one more thing. You need an easier way to adjust the boat's speed. What works in a real boat makes for awkward gameplay.

Storm watch takes too long when you're already in port. You should have the option of auto-skipping the storm once you're safe.

Also, your eco-enviro-political message is simplistic preaching at best.

If you click the pause button there's an option to end the run. Also, note that there are two stages of alert for the storm... storm watch just means to prepare yourself. Storm warning is when the storm actually rolls in, and the run does end automatically when you port during storm warning. As for the environmental message, if you play the whole game you'll find that it's more subtle than you think. The point of the game is not just to say "sustainable fishing is good!" but to present all the various types of regulation being used around the world and make an argument for which ones are effective (catch shares, no-take zones, TURF) and which ones are not (catch limits especially).

I have a decent computer and this game taxes the system. A shame as I really like this game. And I agree with the skip storm idea.

This seems to be a problem for some people and not others. Have you tried a different browser? Although I took measures to spare the CPU where possible (e.g. only school leaders are tracked off screen, the rest of the fish are spawned around the leader when you enter the vicinity) there's a fair bit going on in the game. But weirdly there doesn't seem to be a correlation between the quality/modernity of a machine and performance issues. Lots of people run it just fine on older PCs, but you're not the only one complaining about slowdown. I'm stumped.
