Ang "Ode To Pixel Days" ay tungkol sa isang binatilyo, si Hans, na may crush sa isang cheerleader. Tinanggihan si Hans ng cheerleader dahil pangit siya at hindi kaakit-akit. Sinubukan ni Hans na baguhin ito sa pamamagitan ng paggawa ng makina na magpapapare-pareho ng itsura ng lahat. Kapag pare-pareho na ang itsura ng lahat, makukuha na niya ang babaeng gusto niya! Pero syempre, sa totoong buhay, hindi ganun kadali; at malapit nang maranasan ni Hans ang mapapait na karanasan. Ang laro ay nilalaro sa isang kastilyo, na kumakatawan sa mundong nilikha ng isipan ni Hans. Layunin ng laro na ilagay ang manlalaro sa isipan ni Hans, upang maranasan ang kanyang emosyon, pag-asa at mga pangarap. Ang pangunahing karanasan ng laro ay ang mga damdaming nararanasan ng isang binatilyo sa pagdadalaga; kalungkutan, lungkot, mababang kumpiyansa sa sarili, at ang pagnanais na baguhin ang sarili at ang mundo sa paligid mo. Ginawa ang larong ito ng isang tao lamang, at ako iyon.

Interesting game, for sure. But I think I got a *much* more morbid message from this game. Hans is feeling dejected by his unpopularity. He dreams about making everyone equal in every form, he shrinks down. But he knows that can't happen, he begins to grow again. And then things got strange - he fights and defeats himself [Loss of hope]. And then he imagines himself flying...and jump off of a building [Action]. And then he is flashbacked to a black-and-white scene where you are shunned, again, by the girl you think you love. [Motive] My first thought went to, "Jesus, I think this kid just committed suicide."
Anyone else?

When a flying castle can't hold your dreams, the obvious thing to do is freefall out of it, drop 5000 feet into the schoolyard, then nonchalantly walk up to that hot girl you like and pretend you really don't care about her since you've learned to dream bigger. ....She doesn't care because you're still ugly. Great effort at a thoughtful game, even if the story is a bit odd. 4 stars.
But Hans went to her, she's the cool one :) thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
