If I didn't play for about two days, all of the money I earned was gone, and even if I defeated the enemy, I couldn't get any money. You can't even buy a turret or laser because it literally doesn't fit in 1 ๏ผ (even 0 ๏ผ doesn't).
Only the attribute upgrades can be purchased and enhanced automatically.

I think I figured out the statue a bit... you have to leave your mouse over it for it to shoot faster (as per its level). So when you upgrade it, it upgrades the fire rate.
