Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Also, please join us in the Kongregate Discord for all the latest Kongregate news!

An evil mega-corporation has taken over your game! They demand you "pay to win" and, until you do, you are forced to trudge your way through the "lite," free, ad-supported version until you complete all the upgrades and unlock the final boss.
Will you prove you are more than just a "whale" to be milked for all you're worth?

Spoiler~!!! For people who couldn't read the END NEWSPAPER cause it's too fast. It reads:
THE UPGRADER
Copyright armor games inc, tuesday october 24th 2014, Price: 50 cent
title:" President Saves Planet With Un-manned Drone"
World responds with a resounding "Thanks, Obama!"
Another day ends in high spirits as those pesky alien parasites are once again driven off into the blue by grinding a game over and over again. Will this winning tactic ever become less valid?
Conspiracy nuts were quick to question the Gov's official retelling of the event. Asking questions such as "If there was no pilot, then what was all that talk of using the keyboard to move the ship?" And "Hey, I put a lot of work into buying them there upgrades. You won't silence me!" When tracked down for further questions, however, most of those responsible for arguements either could not be found or had died mysteriously. All this lead's me to report that all's well that ends well.

I loved the previous upgrade complete games, but this was easily the worst of the lot. There was nothing innovative in the upgrading, which is the thing that used to set this franchise apart. The shift over to a defense game seemed contrived and unnecessary. The camera panning was annoying and unhelpful; why couldn't there be an upgrade to see the whole screen at once? I didn't even have to finish wave 19 to beat the game. 2/5, but the newspaper clipping at the end made me laugh so you get 3.

Too short, too easy (some electric rod and game become idle). I love upgrade complete 1 and 2, but this i finish in 20 minutes and don't want play again. 3/5 for me
